James R. Seeker, 72, of High Acres, Bemus Point, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026 at UPMC Chautauqua.

Jim was born December 11, 1953, in Salamanca, NY and was a son of the late James L. and Faith T. Seward Seeker. He was employed for many years by Halliburton and retired as a forklift operator from Bush Industries.

Jim enjoyed wood burning, NASCAR, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and in earlier years hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Green Seeker, whom he married September 21, 1991; a son, Dale Green of Bemus Point; two sisters, Tena Green of Williamsville, NY and Patti (Matthew) Armstrong of Bradford, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Jim was preceded in death by five brothers: Arthur Merritt, Carl Seeker, Richard Seeker, Jim Seeker and James Seeker; and a sister, Elizabeth Smith.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Forest Ave. in Jamestown. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association.
