John Harvey Johnson Jr., "JJ", age 77, of Jamestown, NY, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026. He was the son of John Harvey Johnson Sr. and Ethel Johnson (Hulick).

He is survived by Sylvia, his loving wife of 54 years; his cherished daughters Alethea (husband Joe) and Jennifer; his brother William Johnson (wife Liz), sister Mary Jayne Peterson (husband Dave) and sister Leasa Carney; along with many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was devoted to his family — they were his world. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and his sparkling eyes always made us smile. He loved watching the stars and learning about space, getting his private pilot license, flying in small planes around the area, riding his motorcycle on country roads, golfing, listening to music, taking long walks and most of all being with family. He loved to make people smile with a pun, a little tease and especially with a kind word. He was a man of strong faith who loved God, His Word and the Lord Jesus.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will be held. In his honor, please consider performing a random act of kindness or find a way to help someone in need.
