Rita J. Dickey, 71, of Buffalo, formerly of Bemus Point, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Absolut Care of Aurora Park. She was born in Jamestown on February 7, 1954, to the late Lester O. Dickey and Evelyn Strickland Dickey Hurlburt.

Rita spent many working years in the clerical department at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and was a member of the Shining Light Apostolic Ministry in Buffalo, NY.

Rita is predeceased by her sisters Cheryl Steele and Anita Yount , and leaves behind her sister, Karen Dickey Vogt of Irving, NY.

The memorial service for Rita will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Christian Community Church of Dewittville, 5446 E Lake Road, Dewittville, NY 14728. Rita's beloved pastor of Buffalo, Roshelle Deas-Roberson, will officiate. Burial will be in Dewittville Cemetery.
