Stella K. Dynys, 99, of Jamestown, died Friday April 24, 2026, in Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

A Jamestown resident all her life, she was born April 28, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Solek Dynys, Sr.

A 1944 graduate of Jamestown High School, she had been employed by Jamestown Credit Bureau for many years until her retirement.

She was a devoted communicant of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and member or the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Her family will miss having ice cream with Auntie.

Surviving are three nephews Edward Dynys of Jamestown, Joseph (Shelley) Dynys of New Kensington, PA and Steve (Sharon) Dynys of Smethport, PA and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Theodore Dynys and Joseph Dynys, Jr. and nephews Frederick and Theodore Dynys.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm Friday in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1 pm Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, Holy Cross Cemetery, or Ted Dynys Endowment Fund at JCC.
