Suzanne D. Joyce, 78, formerly of 55 New York Avenue, Lakewood, died Tuesday December 17, 2024, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing, Gerry.

She was born December 1, 1946, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late William and Catherine Daly Joyce.

She was a 1964 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to earn a degree in Counseling from Jamestown Community College.

She was employed by WCA Hospital and Lakeview Shock Facility as a counselor. Her work was always about helping others.

Suzy was 40+ years sober and was a member of Alcoholic Anonymous.

Surviving are two sons Ryan (Kathy) Lindstrom of Fairport, NY and Michael (Debbie) Lindstrom of Cumming, GA; grandchildren Thomas and Jack Lindstrom and a sister Kathy Joyce of Chagrin Falls, OH.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo Hilson, September 3, 2017; and two sisters Judy Joyce and Patricia Bishko.

In keeping with Suzy's wishes, no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
