Willard D. Thompson, 85, of Ashville, passed away Tuesday June 4, 2024, in UPMC Hamot. He was born July 30, 1938, in Corsica, PA, the son of the late Albert and Myrtle Horm Thompson. Before his retirement he worked at Acu-Rite Co. Inc for several years. Willard enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and was a huge Chevrolet fan. Surviving is his son Duane A. Thompson whom he made his home with; his sister Ruth Thompson and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Boddorf Thompson whom he married January 29, 1966, and who died December 1, 2001, and his sister Doris Rankin who died in 1999.
