Obituary

William P. Weilacher, Sr., 90, of Jackson Ave. in Jamestown, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026 in his home.

The husband of Florence Yost Weilacher, Bill was born in Jamestown March 8, 1936, a son of the late Alfonso and Marguerite Lewis Weilacher. He belonged to the Army National Guard and was a truck driver for many years, retiring from Red Star Express in Jamestown.

Active in many groups, including the Moose where he was a past governor, Eagles, War Vets and Masons, Bill was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his wife Florence, surviving are their five children: Valerie (Win) Propheter, Debbie (Jerry) Spoto, Ken (Judy) Weilacher, Belinda (Ernie) Brine, and Sonya (Mike) Lodestro; and many grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, William Weilacher, Jr. in 2002; two sisters, Betty Storms and Ruth Roullard; and two brothers, Donald Sr. and Harold Weilacher.

Following Bill's wishes, there will be no service or visitation.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
